Anniversary in Mexico

September 26, 2009 10:45 am

Jiji and I went to San Carlos this September for our anniversary. It was a pretty good time considering that it was only two weeks after a tropical storm ravaged the area.

Here’s us grabbing some mariscos/ceviche from a street restaurant.

The streets were all torn up, many of the shops and restaurants were closed and the water was very dirty, but we definitely made the best of it. We took our two little monkeys with us and they had a good time. Roxy was great, we could let her loose on the beach and she just frolicked in the sand… Daisy on the other hand was a total nut case and had to be on a leash the whole time or else she’ll run off and never come back.

Fabian’s Bachelor Party

10:35 am

This is really late posting this but I finally uploaded pics from Fabian’s bachelor party in Las Vegas.

Here’s a pic of what us bachelor mates looked like the whole weekend. :)

It was a pretty fun time, even if we lost Fabian Saturday night and we were 4 hours into our drive when I realized I forgot my wallet before I left (luckily, Jiji and Bobby saved the day!).

Strip clubs were plentiful and alcohol flowed freely so it had the effect that it was supposed to have. I won a paltry $100 on craps.

Unluckily, Fabian and his bride to be didn’t work out and there was no wedding in the end, but hey, any excuse to go to Vegas is fine by me!

Back from Tahoe!

June 16, 2009 4:30 pm

I returned from Tahoe’s hockey tournament a couple of weeks ago. We won the whole thing 4-0 but I admit they were some pretty close games. 6 of us from Arizona met up with a group from Fresno and formed a pretty good unit together. One team that was there was disqualified because they were simply too good for the level they were in (C level, but they could have won the A level division there).

My team: Ballistic Wave (mainly from Fresno)

A pic of just the Arizona boyz!

As a defenseman, I think I had 1 goal and 1 assist the whole time, lol, which is not very good. But I blame on my team’s lack of scoring, since we were winning games 1-0 or 2-1, lol.

It’s a very expensive weekend so I can see why there were only around a dozen teams total over there. It was still a good experience and I hope to do more in the future! We’re planning San Diego and Vegas tournaments coming up, I’ll keep ya posted.

Last Days

March 27, 2009 4:33 pm

If you haven’t heard by now I have requested a month off (without pay) from work so that I can help my step dad get his business off the ground. My boss is a pretty good guy about it, he knew it was important to me and he gave me the time off, which is really hard to believe in this economy. My last day at work is today and I’ll be back in the office on April 27th. My step-dad’s business? Well, I can’t reveal much but it involves iPhone and Web development. Once we have a working product, I will reveal more about it. Wish me luck and I’ll post more later! :)

Birthdays in Mexico!

March 2, 2009 6:17 pm

We just got back from a great weekend in Mexico. We visited my stepdad down there and I must admit that I’m happy to have him back in my life. It’s hard to believe I’ve spent almost 15 years away from San Carlos and now I realize how much I’ve missed it.

Special thanks to Ally and Arm for spending their birthdays alongside mine in Mexico and bringing all of their friends. We all had a great time and I don’t remember the last time I was constantly laughing like I was with this group of folks. If there’s one thing I’ve learned after this trip (other than I need to hit the GYM!) is that nothing beats good company!

Here’s a sneak preview. Here’s us at the Mardi Gras carnival in Guaymas.
